It has been a weirdly hard time for me, again!

My dear blog, I do apologize. I don't mean to abandon you! x.
(Yes I am talking to a website, because the post is titled paranoia and I have to get myself into the mood, did you see the "x"? My god!)

But I will continue posting. I haven't seen ANY of the fall 2011 shows, apart from random posts on tumblr (I've seen plenty of Christopher Kane details, which I loved), so next week I have to sit down and see them all. Then I'll post some thoughts.

So, those are pictures I collected from tumblr, mostly gifs, colorful, paranoiac?(whatever) I'm just posting them to translate the state of mind I'm in right now, everything hectic... And, it's been all day that I'm watching a Madonna favorite over and over again. Paranoia, watch!

Flesh

These are some experiments. Paper, tape, paint, folding and gluing. It is fantastic how I find beauty in the simplest of things. Now the room's walls are full of such, dare I say, sculptures! The pink one reminds me of a human organ, maybe the heart, I call it "flesh". Try it, it's very fun and addictive!

Post-"Dancer in the dark", (a film by Lars von Trier, starring Bjork and Catherine Deneuve) I felt like a corpse! The film had put me in a deeply depressing mood, with a fast heartbeat and death-related thoughts. I had to save my mind! Loud music to overshadow my inner voice, a camera to shoot the pages of a magazine and Photoshop to throw them all together. I don't know, but maybe the following banal, digital collages are products of my temporary depression attacks? Oh and there's a lot of Prada!

I still think of "Dancer in the dark" but I'm much better!

By the way, all photos were taken from FT How to spend it, February issue, and I'm writing this in tiny letters because the title of the magazine has been criticized by commentators for being "disrespectful".

There are secret worlds. I have always been fascinated by them! Dark mysteries and secrets we will never learn. The dark side of history and the mysterious modern world. Powerful forces controlling and changing the way the world and the system function.

The Vatican, freemasonry, world wars, stock exchanging crashes, cold war, the United States, Russia, cursed objects, deeply rich and old families, the outer space, moon landings and dark architecture, are some of the things I'm constantly reading and trying to learn about! It's food for your mind, I want to make you think and probably get inspired!

All of these, through the years had a sensible effect on art and the fashion industry! I am always extremely excited to discover history through fashion for example. For Spring 2011 Marios Schwab presented a collection that was, for me, very dark and mystical. Also, John Galliano often uses religious symbols to his collections or for Dior's. Have a look!

Masonic symbols printed on the dresses and the bags, and also beautifully decorating the laced dresses!

At John Galliano fall 2009 rosaries were used, even though it was weird because it was based on Russia and Russians are orthodox. And back in 2000 fall couture the Pope-dress! Stunning.

And then, I tried, pathetically, to create dark and mystical accessory settings. A white gothic-looking crystal and a red rosary, bought from the Vatican City!

Apparently we know nothing!

LUCIDDREAMING-VOL.2

Lucid dreaming is attaining dream awareness while you are still dreaming. And once you are in a dream, you can direct it to anything you like!

Now I'm posting new ideas, new faces and new environments! In the photos below I am the person with the diamond head, or whatever... And by the way, all of the scenarios are my interpretations of the photos! Enjoy.

Oh, and one more thing. There's a lot of vengeance mood below. Please forgive me but I was feeling like it!

-"Hiya!", she screamed.

-"Do you really think you can win because you have a stupid white kimono on?"

-"Shut it!"

-"No I won't. For your information I have one too! And it's black. And latex." I said ironically. Then she seemed like she was about to surrender. I was relieved but still alert!

Suddenly she screamed "Hiya!", again, in that retarded way! Deep down I knew she was playing with me, but really, who did she think she was? As she jumped high to attack me with her sword, I turned invisible. She lost control she went crazy! The sword was not even close to where she wanted it to be.

-"Where are you?", she angrily shouted!

-"Give up!", I warned.

-"Never.", she replied.

I got angry. She had underestimated my powers, even though I was still invisible. With a simple silent and transparent move I had taken her kimono off of her. She fell naked on the snow.

-"Please stop!", she cried.

-"Don't you ever dare to put me down again.", I said. Since, the world became a better place!!!

-"Nothing really matters... Love is all we neeeeeed..." I whispered as I was waiting for the show to begin! "What takes so long", I said to Grace. She ignored my words. Anna kept her busy and they both clearly showed their disgust to me. Because they knew I was a blogger.

-"How do they even get these seats?", Anna whispered.

-"We've got competition.", Grace replied.

-"Is he wearing couture?"

-"Mhm", Grace murmured.

To the right, Carine and Patrick talk about the future of Vogue Paris. I had realized they were talking about a replacement, but I could not clearly dissect the sentences!

-"Yes, yes she would be absolutely perfect", Patrick said.

-"I think it's done", Carine agreed with him!

Little did I know! Within the next few weeks, Emmanuelle was announced.

Backstage, I went to congratulate the designer. I've heard Anna and Andre had asked the public relations team about me. How did I get the seat?. When they realized who I was, a tycoon, they immediately send me a request to feature me on the cover.

Request ignored. Got better things to do and learn!

Here it's the 20s. Somewhat before the crush. I had invented the first robot! A female robot. But it was not any robot, it was not just a machine. I had given it soul and mind, but not logic. It was made for one reason, to give fantasy and imagination to people, make them dream and think big!

-"What can I do with it?"

-"You can talk to her for a while, have a discussion maybe. You will be a different person after that!", I said to him passionately.

-"I'll have her for a day", he replied tentatively.

He had never returned the robot back. Everything made sense when I had read in the papers that a major Wall Street banker had sold everything to become a painter. His works where later inducted to museums around the world. Since that, my invention was correcting the world one person at a time!

-"I don't hate anybody!"

-"This is not the case! You are accused for stealing. A f*cking idea!", the lawyer screamed.

-"You know since I succeeded, everyone wants a piece of me. At first it was fun, but it really gets annoying!", I said calmly. "You either give up, or I prove who's right and you get lost from the face of earth".

They all laughed. I laughed with them too. Silly people I thought. It only took a weak clap to make the large table the stage for 3D figures that represented the real story. The plot and the game they had set up was now revealed. They turned red, I laughed at their funny faces. The video was now slowly fading...

-"What about now?", I said!

-"Who are you?"

"Get lost!" I screamed. They had all turned into a glittery powder. They had no idea of what I'm capable of doing.

My world was now silent. The demons were finally gone.

"I am King George V. I really love my wife because she's great, kind and supportive! I have a problem speaking, but it's slowly fading away thanks to a therapist Elizabeth discovered. My daughters love listening to stories! They are both adorable.

I have to announce the war but I have to find the strength to tell my people.

Last weekend, I went to a trip. Outer space! I had so much fun looking around at planets, the stars, the suns, the galaxies. What I enjoyed the most were supernova explosions. The colors were absolutely stunning, awe inspiring! There's a different vibe there, I felt serene, alone, happy! I like loneliness sometimes, but of course I wanted to share my experience with you. I had hubble telescope take a picture of me in front of a beautiful nebula! You cannot imagine what it feels like watching all of these happen in real life.

Stars were falling by me, I had seen Earth change patterns and days, the Sun explode violently and planets interacting between them. Next time I'm taking all of you with me. I thought we should build a country-space house there for vacations. Believe me you will LOVE the view.

I am on Emmanuelle's first cover for French Vogue. She was considering Gisele, but she changed her mind and she decided she should find someone new and fresh.

-"Gisele is boring, banal, overused, how do I make it clearer!", someone told her on the phone!

-"You've made that crystal clear, I'm already auditioning. Please stop whining!", Emmanuelle said on a phone call during my interview at her new office.

I felt uncomfortable, I was a candidate to replace a legend on the cover of Vogue Paris.

-"Why do you think you should be on the cover?"

-"You are the new editor in chief. Right? You are in need of a brand new fetish model. A face that you would feel close to! Let me be that face"

She seemed seduced. My words were like magic, I could feel her excitement.

-"YES! You can go."

The next day, I was confirmed. The magazine became best seller. My confidence had earned made a career!

THECONE

The surface generated by a straight line, the generator, passing through a fixed point, the vertex, and moving along a fixed curve, the directrix.

I randomly found a hard paper cone. Somewhere. I'd spend hours playing with it and thinking what could it be used for. I've discovered that it is a great three dimensional object! Very charming.

I've painted it silver to look more like a metal cone. It would be a fantastic ring, I thought. Imagine, a heavy platinum, shiny coned ring. Of course there would be a structure hided underneath so that it would fit perfectly on the finger. It's quite uncomfortable, but I wish I could go into a studio and develop it further.

I thought of versions too! There's the plain platinum, there's the platinum and hundreds of diamonds (black diamonds would be nice as well), there's the faberge-eggs-like cone and there's the transparent one, I have no idea how this could be manifested, but imagine a glass cone and underneath it the structure that would be amazingly beautiful. Does anyone get my ideas?

It's kind of a minimal shape, but transforming it into a ring it becomes maximal. An exaggerated use of the purpose and the luxurious decoration of it, could turn it into a very bold piece of jewelry! It represents the top and the success, and the dreams that you wait to come true!

It's made to remind you that the sky is the limit.

It's very weird how I give meaning to so many useless things I come across.

GIVENCHY

So Givenchy couture is out. This time it was easy to find the images right away! Not quite a show, more of an exhibition, again, where people would be able to touch, feel and see the clothes up close on still models. Riccardo Tisci did his second collection that would be made from less than a dozen evening gowns. Transparency, embroidery and feathers were used once more perfectly! But I felt that the spring collection was just an evolution of the fall collection. They had the same vibe but at the same time they had their differences, that made each one of the two distinct.

On the chart above, in the center, you can see a Givenchy Couture Fall 2010 look that is surrounded by looks of spring 2011. I compared Givenchy's collections to Eevee evolutions from Pokemon (I were obsessed when I was little), because I thought that the one was just extension of the other. When Eevee evolutes, she becomes a new creature, new colors but almost the same character. She is still Eevee deep inside but on the outside she's something new. Givenchy remained Givenchy but there were splashes of changes. The magnificent hats that I adored and a bit more color were added.

I have read that Riccardo was inspired by Japan, I can clearly see Japan but certainly not in the way others do! Of course I can distinguish several traditional Japanese patterns and I could also say that neon is inspired by modern Japan.

Tisci said he was inspired by the late dancer Kazuo Ohno! And you know what I can really see the similarities. But still, no one can get the Pokemon comparison out of my head!

CHANEL

Karl Lagerfeld delivered an ethereal collection for Chanel. Easy, soft, light! It was a revolutionary collection which made couture seem less avant-garde and more comfortable. The great selection of pastel colors and the mind blowing embroidery, which was still down-to-earth, are characteristics found in haute couture collections often, but what was ground breaking was the use of jean fabric (there were some jeans actually!), ballet flats (all of them), t-shirt like blouses and the minimal use of heavy dark colors. All these made it look young and fresh but in fact, in my opinion, this is the essence of true luxury. Buying these pieces of art, with extreme amount of work behind them, and making them look normal, comfortable almost invisible.

This collection reminded me of a woman, just like Marie Antoinette, fascinated by Jean Jacques Rousseau's "back to nature" philosophy, looking for beauty in clothes that allow human moves!

Marie Antoinette is one of the movies that I enjoy watching most. It relaxes me. At some point, the soul-of-the-party girl, Marie Antoinette, gets tired of all social activities, extreme costumes and high heels and gets obsessed with nature. She gets lost in fields, spends time with her children and her animals, goes for a stroll at the lake all, in airy, light gowns. Easy luxury!

Maybe the adorable genius, Karl, wanted to take women back to nature, back to air. He probably wants them to live again without stress, just relaxed. But still make them look immaculate in extraordinary pieces of art! I felt that this was the message of the collection, and it was a phenomenal Chanel collection anyway!

ARMANI

I'll put it this way: I loved it. And I thought it was genius. Everything about it had something special, the color mixing, the texture of the fabrics and the forms were all somewhat innovative. I felt there was something outer-space-y about it and I also felt a kind of epicness, almost anniversary-like. AND I thought the recession mood we've seen in previous collections is now fading away!

My very first take on the Armani collection was that Giorgio combined technology and fashion to deliver very ground-breaking pieces of art!

This is a "chart" I came across many times on tumblr and on various other blogs, I was very intrigued. It captured my mind. Truly science and art could give birth to the most ingenious wonders, but hardly did I ever see the theory applied. Giorgio Armani did apply the theory of this chart. He unified the technology of fabric, the UFO Philip Treacy hats and some futuristic forms (SCIENCE), with the art of couture and the devotion of its makers, silk and gems (ART) to produce a wonder (WONDER).

I was stunned by the dresses. All of them! I adored the idea of cutting off the body from the rest of it and leaving that narrow space around the hips. Used as pockets, executed impeccably it gave the sense of a robotic woman, almost unable to move because of the one vast joint, but then again it looked perfectly feminine in a way! And the colors landed from another world, we have barely seen them the last years. The deep pure red and the way the metal-silk fabric let it shine left me speechless and of course all of the gem-encrusted looks were absolutely breathtaking! Also as an alternative to the Philip Treacy UFO disc-hats, masks also encrusted with gems, making the mood mystical.

The last dress blew me away. When I first saw it, I thought it was studded with red LED lights! The way it shined and the way it was translated on film was beyond!

I apologize if my thoughts are not clearly formed, but today my mind is blocked!

IMBACK

Hello, this is me! I don't really know where to start from, but it's been a long time and many things have happened.

I want to apologize to my blog and to my readers (if there are any left) for abandoning everything and letting this blog, that I've worked so hard for, to the mercy of the vast internet cosmos. But honestly I have been through a lot! Exams, stress, panic attacks, birthday, holidays, exam results, sadness and disappointment. I dare to even say that I've considered (for a while), stop blogging and shutting it down. The blog went private for a day or two... It was the time that I had to think whether I wanted this to go on or giving it all up!

On the 14th of January (same day as Maria Nina Ricci!), this blog turned one! And, during this one year I have forced myself to find free time, make space for this blog, I had created a secret world where I could drain thoughts and ideas and opinions on fashion, (which is a part of art that I admire so much), into it and feel free to speak without the fear of hearing any criticism! I've learned a lot and I've dreamt a lot! So, all these made me re-think. "I HAVE to do everything I can to make the magic happen again!!!"

Plus, during the last months, that have been the hardest yet, I have been talking to the great Daphne Guinness. All of you who have read previous posts, you must know how much I adore her. I got the chance to exchange thoughts with her and learn more about her. She's has been very supportive and encouraging and I thank her for that. I am very blessed that I can call her a friend now! And of course I am very blessed that I've met so many great people on twitter through Daphne! Love to all.

Back to the blog. I will be back, I will continue for sure! Starting from today with Couture. It's the The Style Particle's birthday present. I will be also posting on some men's shows and be prepared for a Lucid Dreaming post Vol. 2. A sequel to LUCIDDREAMING that has been my most popular post yet!

MOLES

I know this might be disturbing, but I painted my moles gold.

I got so bored in class the other day, that I pathetically stared at my arms' moles for quite some time. And I thought: "Why the hell are my moles brown?" And I decided to paint all of my moles, on both arms, gold with a gold permanent marker (probably a bad idea, but it was the only tool at the time).

I had no idea that under the light of sun my moles would shine so much. And my arms have quite a lot of moles so I god comments like: "You got glitter on you" or "What have you done?" or "Ewww" or "Cool!". When I got home I wanted to paint my face moles too but I stopped myself from doing it because it would probably have bad reactions.

Sometimes I just can't stop myself from creating.

JILSANDER

One more astounding collection from the Milan fashion week. Raf Simons' collection for Jil Sander was very bold, impressive and definitely new. The idea was maximalism but still combined with the brand's simplicity. The maximalism is obvious through the colors and the volumes and the layering (which was done impeccably due to the non-bulkiness of the layered looks).

I am obsessed with the contrast between the pieces of the looks. The concept of combining a plain tee with a couture-like skirt is very young and very now. It is an iconic look, which could also be the founding of the definition of the new decade's look. "Everyone is in a tiny cocktail dress and extreme shoes. I'd be much more interested in seeing a girl in a ten-euro T-shirt and a couture skirt." the designer said. And I couldn't agree more.

Raf Simons was influenced by Yves Saint Laurent and his obsession for Parisian women going to the opera wearing a couture gown and a parka jacket on top. But what matters is that he did it in a very unique way, by using nature's most vivid colors, volume and the extreme contrast of comfortability and couture's stiffness.

The concept, the idea and the thinking of the collection has a very modern feel which is important when most of the other designers are referring to decades and eras.

DIVINEPRADA

Yesterday, I sat in front of my desk super excited to see Prada's show streaming live. Full screen, lights turned off and door locked to prevent any interruptions. In fact, I felt I was front row. I grabbed my moleskine, a gold-colored pen and I was ready to start taking notes. I was writing down various thoughts about what I would like to see in the show during the 30-something minutes that the show was late. I am not going to list those thoughts, just because the collection literally overshadowed them. All of my ideas seem very weak compared to this divine collection.

Miuccia Prada, fashion's most amazing thinker and genius, was inspired this season by minimalism, baroque, hospitals, 17th century cherubs, Josephine Baker, prisoners, postmen, sailors and Mexico. She incorporated every single influence in her own way and interpretation resulting into a very, very bold collection.

I felt this collection gave us some freshness, something new, a new, innovative preposition to the 2010s' fashion. People started going minimal and simple and basic since 2009, but maybe it's time to be bold, as the designer herself told backstage. Striking colors, beautiful prints, spectacular cuts, head-twisting combinations, stripes, monkeys, bananas, all of them can make you bold.

I was blown by the shoes and their multiple soles. But I am literally obsessed with the high-multiple-soled-oxford-flats! (That we also encountered in the mens collection, but this time in a more exuberant way). The bags and the clutches were beautiful also. The Willy-Wonka-like sunglasses were mind blowing and of course the huge sombreros that were prisoned up were amazing.

There aren't enough words to really describe my excitement about this collection. I am very thankful that designers like Prada still imagine and dream and then create this wearable form of art. When I think how much thinking goes into such collections, my spine chills up. I am also thankful because now I understand how important it is to be inspired and influenced by various things in order to find a path to the new and the fresh. And I'm also learning how to dissect a collection into the influences and inspirations-try doing it by yourself and you'll be finding yourself learning about history and art and historical figures.

PAPERCUT

My homework for art at school was to cut squares out of black paper and then remove shapes from them, so that when they were glued on white paper there would be a contrast and a balance of the black and the white. It was inspired by techniques used by Japanese artists and symbols such as the yin and yang.

Can you spot a heart, a cross, Anna Wintour and four faces? (Yes fashion influences my homework too!). Anyway when I was done gluing the squares I thought that this would be a great fabric, especially if it was printed on white silk. It could be an amazing scarf too. So, in order to "bring to life" my thought I took some basic (as always) looks from the Calvin Klein spring 2011 collection and put my pattern onto the clothes in photoshop (which I suck at).

I imagine a collection like that, designed by the Rodarte sisters or Proenza Schooler or someone young and fresh. Anyone can take my idea and take it to a whole new level if they want to!

The shapes could also be embroidered with black sequins too. Yes? Better I think.

COPPER

Yesterday I found this piece of thin copper at my art school.

Since I can't really afford Rodarte or Rick Owens or Mcqueen, I have to somehow accessorize my simple and basic outfits. And I like going extreme when it comes to jewelry. So this copper, that caught my eye, could be a great accessory. I thought I could use it as a brooch, but a cuff made more sense.

I tried fitting it on my arm and it looked very nice. Not polished, but nice. I trimmed the edges so that they could be smooth and I crumbled it to look a bit more interesting. I am going to try engraving some lines on it or even studding it with coned studs. And of course I have to figure out the cuff's closing.

I like the idea of developing accessories. It's fun and not so difficult to play with different materials. I will let you know how my copper cuff develops.

RODARTE

Everything started when Kate and Laura Mulleavy grew up in Northern California, Santa Cruz. This year, they decided to turn their childhood into clothes. But of course, mixing it up with many other different influences that they might had as children. They researched the wood patterns of sequoia trees and the landscapes of deserted lands and rocky hills.

They were also influenced by Japan and China, samurai armor and the Ming dynasty. All of this research, images and thinking resulted into an impeccable collection reflecting all of those inspirations in one way or another. Rodarte, is a new brand. What made it so famous, in a small lapse of time, is the experimentation and inventive creative force of the designers.

The Mulleavy sisters would send wood panels to Italy for the prints, they said they made their own fabrics. This proofs the originality of the design quality of the brand. Silks and leathers, and blue and white prints that looked like Ming porcelain. "We wanted the dresses to look like vases", Kate and Laura said. The dresses, structural enough to imitate the stiffness of samurai armor and glossy vases, and gorgeous enough to get obsessed with, were so beautiful and polished, they overshadow all of New York's new collections including Marc Jacobs' one.

Here are some details of the clothes, the shoes and the accessories. The fabrics look luxurious and very well made, the platforms of the shoes are made out of wood and metal with engraved flowers and butterflies and the belts' buckles are also made out of graved wood.

What got me obsessed with this collection is the authenticity of it. While everyone get inspired by 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, minimalism and reused concepts, the Rodarte sisters got inspired from their childhood. The collection had mixed historical and cultural influences as well as an artistic feel. They made art, whether it's wearable or not, it was thoughtful, innovative and stunning art. Kate and Laura Mulleavy are fashion's new dreamers.

Maybe Rodarte will be to America, what Prada is to Europe. Genuine.

MARC+PROENZA

Just some quick thoughts on Marc Jacobs: His collection lifted the mood at New York fashion week. Everything being so minimal and light and colorless, we needed Marc to give us a bit of retro, sequins, prints and colors. It was such a collection. Beautiful and most importantly inspired and thoughtful.

I keep loving vogue.com more and more every time I visit it. Now, I discovered previews of upcoming spring 2011 shows. I think I screamed when I saw this look from Proenza Schouler's preview page. See more here, and let yourself scream.

WHITE

When we - fashion freaks - go through the new collections the first image we usually see is the first look of the collection, which most of the time sets the tone and the feel of the collection. I once read somewhere that experts could really say whether a collection is good or bad only judging by the first look. It's true but the most, good collections, evolve from look to look, ending to the best one (but still, not always).

Today I had some free time on my hands and I went through the collections on style.com. All of the whiteness caught my eye. Big time. It was such an obvious mega-trend. It happens in spring collections but this year it's white on steroids, whole white collections get us blinded. (Oh, and by the way, the photos are from vogue.com because style.com's new "moving picture" feature does not allow me to copy the images. But it was good that way, because I discovered that vogue's photos are larger and clearer but vogue.com is not so user-friendly).

I like the whole white thing. It's sharp and clean and minimal and the cuts in all the collections show the work that has went through the pieces, but if Paris and Milan and London are all white again I'm going to shut this blog down (not really, it sounded dramatic). I was about to publish a post on some new spring collections but I thought everyone on the net shows you this shit and there are great reviews everywhere so I thought you needed some fresh air with all the fashion week fuzz going on. To be honest I like the minimal collections of Altuzzara and Alexander Wang but not worth publishing my thoughts on them because they keep on being the same minimal things with the amazing cuts and blah blah blah.

So, I went hunting. Macaron hunting. And I really found some really good stuff in this shitty town. (Well it's not Laduree but they are delicious!)

Don't they look delicious? I was kind of jealous that every blog out there posts about candy. So I wanted my blog to be a little more delicious. Mmmmmm...

This is a white, short-sleeved vintage Pierre Cardin.

What I love about it it's the lightness and sheerness of its fabric. It's almost 30 years old and it looks like a new white shirt.

I had its sleeves reconstructed, because they were too wide and long. Now, it's up to date. And it looks great with jeans and boots.

So, I thought we should wave Spring goodbye. And there is no better way to do it other than a drawing of a Spring 2010 Givenchy detail. I think it turned out really pretty. And now I am waiting for fall rains, wind, orange leaves and the Spring 2011 collections.

Big news! Sources say that Lanvin(Alber Elbaz) and H&M will be collaborating for a new collection. It's very, very, very exciting. This is a teaser, but we will only be sure (that it's Lanvin) on the 9th of September.

Update: It is confirmed that the designer collaboration will be from Lanvin. They hit the stores on November 23rd.

I really believe that she is the one who forced and still forces designers and people to create and explore different, interesting and surreal looks - looks and collections that have absolutely nothing to do with classic beauty and chicness. The real fashion and the huge imagination and creative energy of talented designers might be hiding behind bad taste.

Anna Piaggi - of Italian Vogue - is renowned for her bold style and eccentric looks. Bad Taste? Yes. But this is what really hides behind her genius. She is never boring because she is never normal. She is a living work of art, daring and always exciting. Anna has humor. We all have to have fun dressing. Fashion is this world of fantasy, it is a world of play, an unknown world of magic.

This of course is Comme des Garcons. In 2008 Rei Kawakubo announced that the autumn winter collection of Comme des Garcons would actually do bad taste. And she was really honest. The collection was full of tulle puffy skirts, hot pink, faux-fur, bondage straps, hearts and lips. But it was clever and outrageous. There was a sense of exploration and there was a surreal story. Rei really experimented with bad taste and it turned out to be so good that she keeps on doing it.

The great Coco Chanel would often wear imitations of the Romanov pearls she got from her lover. "Good taste ruins certain real values of the spirit: taste itself, for instanse." she would say. Cristobal Balenciaga would say that Coco had very little taste, but all of it was good. And today Daphne Guinness says that jewelry doesn't have to be real. It still looks good.

Elsa Schiaparelli had a lot of taste but it was all bad. Daisy Fellows Schiaparelli's most favored client, would wear a simply dress while others would try to outshine each other. And just like Chanel she avoided the vulgarity of her impressive expensive jewelry and she would prefer a necklace made from champagne corks. She would wear things that would annoy everyone, said Elsa.

As of now, bad taste is an idea of experimentation. Many followed Rei Kawakubo. They also dreamed and they imagined. Prada created a tasteless collection in 2008 full of lace. But it was fun. Elegance is too polite to be interesting. But not everyone can manage wanted bad taste. Humor is a very important ingredient into manifesting a bad taste look but in a cerebral way.

I have featured these shoes back when I started this blog. But now really I get them. They are shoeshis! (You know Shoe+Sushi=Shoeshi).

I want to walk all around Japan wearing these Docs. I do not know why, but suddenly today I realized that these shoes, have been connected with Japan (and its fashion forward Japanese people) inside my brain.

I constantly connect objects with situations or weather or people, but it's the first time actually that my brain does that with a whole country. This is huge Japan! You should be proud.

When I saw Lanvin's Spring 2011 Menswear collection, I was thrilled to discover the tribal accessories and the chunky chains. I died.

I always had a certain interest into tribal jewelry (which I think I got from my godmother, who always wears a LOT of this kind of necklaces and bracelets). So I was really excited to rediscover some of my "tribal" accessories. I also bought a couple today!

Bought today on my crystal-hunting excursion. It has this beautiful ivory color, its sharp and heavy. I especially love the top part of it.
Sodalite. Not my favorite but when combined with something else it can look very interesting.
Probably plain bone because it was very cheap. It's very light and looks beautiful when combined with chunky heavy chains.
Green gemstone ring. I usually hang it on a thin gold chain.
This is my second buy for today. It is stunning. It is mid-clear orange and when in light, yellow crystal. I pair it with gold chain and number 1.
This is real ivory. Very old, back when my grandmother went on safari in africa. I never wear it because i can barely fit any chain in it.

I still believe deep inside that 1, 2, 4, 5 have special powers. Maybe sometime I'll be able to fly. Don't laugh I really believe it. (Naah).

Oh did you see the background? It's a persian carpet, I always hated. (Until today).

When I saw Inception, I was very intrigued by the idea of lucid dreaming (you know, when you are able to control your dreams and do the shit you want to do). You can learn a lot about it here.

So I thought, when I'm able to become lucid, what would I do. Here are a few ideas. (I am the diamond guy by the way. Because I'm that fabulous). (I am describing my dreams as if I am in the dreams).

Here Anna Wintour is giving me the finger (look closer). Why? Because I managed to become the new editor-in-chief of Vogue, I just snatched the position from her. She's really angry even though she doesn't show it. I am now the most powerful figure in the fashion industry and she is just an old lady. But I will put her on the cover. Sometime. Oh, I'm keeping Grace!

I married Marie Antoinette. I did not marry her because I love her. I love the gowns, and the shoes and the way she spends money. Now I am able to enjoy authentic couture, 24/7 and be the man of the most stylish figure in the history of mankind. We have a lot of fun together, we even poisoned Madame du Barry.

This is my best friend. Her name, Daphne Guinness. Very stylish, eternally chic. We are both artists doing masterpieces. We are at a party, talking science and laughing at wannabe socialites. We are going to the Chanel Haute Couture show tomorrow and at the CERN next week. I am not that excited. Been there done that, but we need something to kill our time.

Courtney and I are always bored at such parties. We have a very funny idea now on how to pass the time. We are going to throw condoms at Madonna of course. Just like the other time (here). So much fun. (Madonna I love you but I really laughed hard at you).

You see! I do not want superpowers. I just want to have a lot of fun and be a fashion man.

I am obsessed with winter. Big time. Here in the Mediterranean winter is never heavy, but for some reason this year everyone is going crazy about how heavy the upcoming winter will be.

And of course, this got me really excited. I even started planning my looks.

Anyway, they look strong, and this winter I decided to go completely black (which is my fetish color lately) and heavy. Leather jackets, boots, long knitted scarves, wool, gloves etc.

Let's face it, we all love couture and dressing up, but there are days that we need to dress down and keep comfortable. (Except from Daphne Guinness of course who works out in Rick Owens!)

So for this summer I got inspired by an Ashley Olsen outfit to be my "dress down uniform".

She simply looks comfortable, stylish and it looks effortless.

This is a simple grey tee from Zara.

And this is a Jil Sander for Uniqlo jean. I bought it from London back when I went there in February. It fits perfectly and it looks stunning. It has that kind of a yellowish color in that blue and it makes it very nice.

So I just wear the tee tucked in the jeans, and I usually pair them with desert boots or black docs and black raybans.

P.S I hate celebrity culture, but the Olsen twins seem to have style in their blood.

This is a 10 year old swatch watch. It was a present from my mom back in 2000 when she went to London for work. I was 6 back then, and I did not appreciate the design quality of this watch.

Now as a fashion-design-architecture-art freak that I am, I really respect this little piece of art. It was designed by Renzo Piano the architect who made the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.

It is plastic clear, just like the trend from the spring 2010 collections. It is now a part of my wrist for this summer.

Yesterday I went downtown in search of nice, interesting cheap scarves. I found this little indian shop. Beautiful colors and textures. I found this gorgeous blue linen scarf with gold and white weaving. Long enough to make me look boho.

I had to wash it and I was surprised how much color got out of it. But now its very soft and smells like summer.

And it looks fabulous in the sun.

This is Hit Girl. Tonight, I saw Kick-Ass at the cinema, and I have to tell you that this movie is one masterpiece. The scenes, the dialogues, the cheap-costumes, everything is so fun in this movie. I really enjoyed it because Hit Girl really reminds me of Tavi. They way she talks and acts is the same as Tavi. Cool movie, you have to check it out.

Now, this is a still from Gaga's Steven Klein-directed video, Alejandro. It seems that it really starts getting some bad critique but I seem to like it. She once more proves what a freak she is. And I pretty sure, that the costumes will be kick ass. What do you thing?

I had some fabric paints that I had not used. So I took a white tee and a brush and threw the paints like a maniac on the tee. It's looking good actually. It's refreshing when you throw the paints. I was so angry with me studying so much, but it definitely worked. And it's very rewarding: a new tee and a new me.

Yesterday my godmother, who has quite the same sense of style as me, brought me this gorgeous jumper. It's a bit short but I loved it so much I wanted to wear it somehow.

I then thought to just wear an oversized tee underneath, so that the remaining tee would give some length. It turned out beautiful and grunge somehow.

I think Prada did the same for fall 2010. (I mean the short jumpers.)

They are chic, stylish and all time classics. They are amazingly impressive when they have mirror lenses or very pale shades. The Ray Ban aviators are a must this summer. Oversized preferred.
Your desert look must be completed with a light scarf. (You have to protect your face and neck from the sun). Pale and neutral colors, striped and it makes one color looks look interesting.

The classic Clarks desert boots are making a comeback(somehow). Casual, chic and they look great with total black looks.
A straw hat is the best accessory for a hot, sunny day. The colors are amazing and the way the straws are intertwined in this way create a beautiful texture!

Today, I discovered a new fashion. A food-fashion.

mberrys are little miracle fruit tablets that neutralize your tongue's taste-buds and everything you eat is actually sweeter.

I bought them, thinking of course: "this can't be true", ate one and then tried lemon as it says on the package. It actually turned to be sweet lemonade. I ate all the lemon just like an orange. I also tried yogurt, which turned out to be fruit yogurt and oranges that were so sweet I could not take it anymore.

It's a sensation my tongue never experienced again. It also says to try it with cocktails. So do not hesitate trying them!

Last night I was going through the Olsens anonymous blog. I realized that accessories like pendants, neckpieces, bracelets and lots of rings are a huge part of their looks. And really its the story of how they dress. I have to admit that the Olsens are the only celebrities I like to see in the fashion industry and being such icons.

I am very into chains, bracelets and neckpieces. I think the 80s cheap jewelry, the rubber bracelets and the rosaries, match perfectly with ethnic pieces. I've tried it and I'm going to post a picture of that too.

I've seen them on people all over London. Underground, Harvey Nichols, Camden Town, outside the Central Saint Martins, you name it. I've even seen them on Jak&Jil a few months ago.

They are very interesting. Once you wear them, they somehow distance you from reality. They block every single sound that comes from outside. It's just like wearing sunglasses or veils or hats. It's an accessory that gives you attitude. They make you look unapproachable and distanced.

Maybe fashion's not so simple. I'll explain.

The main trend of the fall shows of february and march was the camel coat/jacket. Camel seems to be a trend for fall, but instead fashionistas all around the world are using it now. It's spring. Most of the times when a trend is easily approachable it is used right away.

When fall comes, either the camel will still be a huge trend, or everyone will get bored of it and let it go. And so people will find a trend from the fall's spring shows and go with it.

So what I'm trying to say is that fall's trends are used in spring and spring's in fall.

Dior's 60th anniversary fall 2007 couture collection, seems to be the best couture collection ever made! I was looking back to some couture shows a few years ago, and this is the most stunning of them all.

Last night, I was very tired trying to tidy up my room and closet. There's still a lot to be done, and my room looks like a bombarded place.

I needed something to relax, and the only way to achieve that was by drawing. So I decided to illustrate this MIU MIU shoe from the spring 2010 collection. It's so graphic, beautiful and mesmerizing that while drawing it, it pretty much takes you to a new place full of lovebirds and flowers and of course Miuccia on a huge throne! Just like god. You can meet her, talk to her and play with her. She even asks your opinion for her new designs.

I personally loved the video featuring the spring Louis Vuitton clogs. I have to admit that at first I hated them but suddenly I adored them. The video shows the magnificence of their design and colors.

It's been quite some time, that I've been trying to find how my passion for fashion and art began. I've wondered so many times why am I so passionate about shapes, volume, textures and colors?

Today, I discovered deep inside a drawer an old collection of little colorful stones I used to have when I was a child. I was fascinated by the crystals, their shine and the vibrant colors. I was even enchanted by simple stones, that had an even shape.

So my guess is, that since I was a little boy, I loved the beauty of nature. It then slowly became a love for the beauty of human creations. Art and clothes.

Everything starts from something small.

BROWNBELTS

This spring, I'm very into brown belts. They somehow give a summer-y feeling to the look. They look great with distressed denim, pale colors(especially blue) and sheer white.

The Cardin one, I found in my grandfather's closet. It was hidden for so many years and it still looks like a new expensive belt. "Craftsman Made in England" is written in gold at the back of it.

The second one is a vintage woven leather that reminds me a lot of the early-boho Olsens.

The third is a new Prada, my dad bought a few years back and never worn. I love the feeling, the look and the color of that leather. Something I love about Prada anyway.

Last, my vintage Dior, which I found in my dad's closet.

These four belts will accessorize all of my looks this season.

I usually don't like going downtown during the day. It's full of wannabes, bimbos who gossip and unstylish, loud people. For me the best time to eye-shop is late in the afternoon.

Yesterday, I wanted to go to the tiny Balenciaga store. Lucky for me, it had a pretty dress displayed. I stayed there, staring at it for at least 10 minutes. I analyzed the finish and the details of it, without annoying people around me.

Then, I went to an upscale vintage store next to Balenciaga. Beautiful dresses, with amazing details and designs, remade and fixed for new reincarnations. Bags whose designs mattered, not its names. Huge brooches and chandelier earrings.

I really enjoy, walking by these shops by night. I have the time to appreciate the work and philosophy of the clothes.

It's been a while, since I've been trying to find the way to interestingly knot this sort of wooly, springy scarf.

A few weeks back, The Sartorialist posted a video on how to tie your scarf in that way. I loved it. Scarves are my fetish, and I was bored tying them in the same old ways.

Today, being a typical spring day, I wore this spring-appropriate scarf in that complicated way. Many asked how to do it. It seems that wearing something simple in a complicated way is very effective in catching people's eyes!

My favorite trend for the summer is transparency. It is fresh and playful.

Prada, Fendi, Gaultier, Armani, McQueen, Versace, Sonia Rykiel and many more, all showed a little bit of transparency in their spring collections. From whole transparent bags by Prada, to small clear shoe-strips by McQueen, clear plastic was everywhere.

This trend brings a futuristic aesthetic this summer. It was first shown in the 60s and it now makes a groundbreaking comeback.

I really can't wait to see those bags filled up with magazines, wallets, cigarettes, make up brushes and small mirrors, mobile phones, lipsticks and little notebooks. Basically, every time you hold a transparent bag, filled up with different stuff, you give the bag a different personality. It would be very interesting to see it in the streets.

FINANCIAL TIMES' How to Spend it magazine, is one of my all time favorites. Not only for its amazing articles, but mostly for its astonishing editorials.

This month's editorial, was based on key looks for spring. The one that really caught my eye, was the all-Balenciaga look accessorized with a magnificent Noel Stewart stained-glass headpiece. The photo was taken by Andrew Yee.

How to Spend it is a classy, low profile magazine that offers delightful editorials. Sometimes not understandable but very artsy. It has a quality that many other magazines have lost on their way up.

SPRING

Today, it's the first day of spring. And I decided to have a temporary tattoo. Of course I couldn't find the Chanel ones, but this one is beautiful too.

I live on a mediterranean island, where swallows, olive trees and warm weather are common. Spring is the happiest season of the year. Flowers, bird songs, sun and light and lots of inspiration.

So from today, I hope we will be able to enjoy all the spring trends in the streets!(Including temporary tats).

I bought this t-shirt from Urban Outfitters, London.

I don't really know what the artist was thinking, or what is the deepest meaning of this picture but I have my own reason why I liked it.

Whenever I see something on a Hollywood personality, I just want to throw it in the garbage. Let's face it, Hollywood destroys fashion. For example, when celebrities wear a magnificent piece of haute couture, which they do not appreciate as a form of art, it immediately loses it's speciality and beauty. It gets barbarically photographed and published into cheap magazines and get criticized by people who do not get the deepest meaning and all the hard work behind this garment.

So, this t-shirt, pretty much shows what I want to do to all those who brutally democratize fashion. I am not being selfish, I just feel that fashion is a form of art, that it is hard to reach just like a short, deep poem.

Today, I came across a very strange type of chain. A broken necklace I found in my aunt's drawers!

It comes back from the 70s.

I started playing with it in my hands. The feeling of this chain going through your fingers and onto your skin is phenomenal! It's like a living thing crawling on you. I was amazed. And of course I was blown away by the shapes and ideas my head produced while looking at this chain.

The structure of it is very beautiful, robotic, architectural and innovative. It is very weird how a small thing like this can offer you amazing amount of inspiration. I could design a whole collection out of it.

The most memorable look of all fashion month for me, was by far the last look from the Viktor & Rolf collection.

Very inspiring, architectural, sculptural, innovative, unwearable, breathtaking and artsy.

I loved it so much, today I illustrated it with a black ballpoint pen. I wasn't sure whether it was going to turn out good, but it seems to be pretty. I added a bit of glitter, for it to shine!

What do you think? Does my scarf look good as its background, or should I go for a Pollock-like one?

What I'm showing above are the humorous parts of the fall show, which made it very special and not just another ordinary Chanel show.

Bears, a huge iceberg, frozen jewelry and bags, wet shoes and iced heels and most importantly FUR. Lots of it. What's the funny part of the fur? It was faux fur!

My mind was blown when I read that the fur was faux. But really that's the gorgeousness of the collection. Well done Karl.

Stefano Pilati's fall collection for YSL, was very nice. It is the epitome of the 21st century Parisian chic fashion.

Fabulous colors, capes, hats, heavy pendants, amazing heels!

Some say there was a religious influence into the collection because of the hoods, the capes and the chains. However, it was very well executed.

Well done!

When I woke up this morning, I was ready to go through the latest collections on my iPhone app style.com.

First, I went through Azzaro, Comme des Garcons, Jean Paul Gaultier and Sophia Kokosalaki. Nothing really exciting. I finally arrive at V. I see Viktor and Rolf! I was excited about their Spring show so I was very anxious to see this one.

I see the first look. I like it. The second, the third, and so on, nothing really special.

Finally, the 24th look takes my breath away. I was in a complete orgasmic shock. I move on on the 25th look. The shock grew bigger and even bigger with the last look. I stayed in bed for one more hour thinking of the most extraordinary looks I've seen in quite some time.

It was a show of sparkly layers and amazing shapes.

It left me thinking and thinking about it. A very memorable collection at last. It took me 3 or 4 went-throughs fot it to grow on me. I loved it.

Alber Elbaz created the boldest collection of them all this season.

I feel that this collection will be the stepping stone of the season. The fashion world, the magazines, the blogs, the fashionistas will love the masculine clothes, the chunky africa-inspired neckpieces and the simply fierce shoes.

I have to say that I am addicted to the first look, the red look and all the accessories.

A very mesmerizing collection. Alber Elbaz is a genius, he knows what makes women show their real power. Period.

The coolest brands of the last seasons showed their collections today.

Balenciaga: Bright, cool, pastel, beautiful, geometric patterns, color blocking, conceptual, 21st century and amazing silhouettes.

Balmain: Dark, jungle, gold and black and leopard, balmain's trademark shoulders, tacky office pantsuits, pretty bows and baroque.

Pretty much, nothing can go wrong with these collections. Both innovative and parisian.

I have been waiting for the Pugh show for a long time. Gareth Pugh is among my favorite designers and I always kneel in front of his creations.

This show was no exception.

Strong and powerful designs, almost all black, solid leather jackets, coats and dresses. Men dressed in astonishing feminine-like clothes. Pleated pants, leggings and chained dresses. Everything was exceptionally executed and for once more Gareth marked his own personality in the fashion industry.

Orgasmic.

Today, I decided that I should fill up my empty moleskine, which has been empty for quite some time. I grabbed a bunch of magazines and started going through them to find nice images.

This is a picture taken at an installation of italian artist Vanessa Beecroft, recently. Women painted in black standing in a room. So, I cut a part of the image and all around I stick aluminum paper. Suddenly it looked amazing.

This is another collage. The elephant is a painting of Anthony Hopkins, I love the colors of it, and the sculpture behind is by always breathtaking Jeff Koons.

It is fun taking a sketchbook and start sticking images and things around. You surprisingly get instant inspiration, new patterns and ideas.

This is a sort of ancient pendant my godmother discovered at a bazaar in Florence. A tiny encircled angel. For some reason it always attracts people's looks.

"Normal clothes" Miuccia said. A mixture of the classic 90s and the 60s.

To be honest, what attracted me in this collection were not so much the clothes as the show and the details of it. Curvaceous models with gorgeous faces and silhouettes gave the show a very strong personality. I expect it to be a very influential show.

I am of course dying for those pumps(and the socks and for those glasses)! Chic and delicate, with extraordinarily detailed finishes and touches.

All in all, maybe what really made the show so special were the accessories and the meaning of it. Miuccia, a very powerful figure in the fashion industry, always knows what comes next. We all trust her and we are sure that she knows her job and the world of fashion better than anyone.

This is my specs necklace. I bought it for 5 pounds from a market at Camden town in London.

I positioned it on a turquoise silk scarf, because that's the way I imagine it, lying on a silk top. I love the contrast between the gold and the black chain.

It may be 5 pounds, but it keeps a lot of character in it.

While everyone else is talking minimalism Mary Katrantzou, a print expert, decorates her dresses with images of jewels, lace and medals, delivering an orgasmic collection.

This season the designer decided to work with new silhouettes and shapes. She showed printed vests and Napoleonic jackets, ruffles and asymmetric sleeves.

Mary Katrantzou beats her way through to the rest of them, representing a more-is-more philosophy.

My art project is based on Alexander McQueen's spring collection. I was so shaken by his suicide that I decided to put all my effort, love and dedication into this project. I wanted to say once more that he was more than just influential and inspirational to me.

McQueen, a genius of creativity has left an astonishing legacy.

Today, I illustrated a dress from his last collection also worn by Lady Gaga. I do my best to make it look amazing and breathtaking.

I am a huge fan of the sisters, so I could not resist posting their new collection.

All lightened up from the previous collection, but deep inside the collection's meaning, there is an ever darker background. The makeup's giving me a fear vibe, so does the theme. Melting candles.

The magnificent melting-shoes from Nicholas Kirkwood along with the patchwork, the vintage lace and the burned up velvet, the pearls and the chiffon, are what give the collection an artsy feel, proving how amazingly executed are the designs.

What is the most important is that when you actually get to see this collection, you can see that there is a story behind it. When you get to see it, you feel it and you know it's Rodarte.

WEEKEND

This is my very rich friend. Usually dressed in Rick Owens, Galliano, Louis Vuitton and DSquared. This weekend in London his feet were literally flowing in Selfridges! He is a huge fan of fashion and young designers and he was really shocked by the tragic news.

I only shot 2 paintings. A Dali and a Picasso. I was not allowed to take any photos.:)

Today, we went at Camden town. Seriously, I just loved that place! The people and the rocky merchandise all over the place was mesmerizing.

Vintage shopping and little shitty jewellery. Stupid stripping shoes and fantastic pendants. Loved it, loved it!

The plane was about to take off and I had to shut my mobile down. Just
before I did this, a message came right in. Shocking and unbelievable.
"McQueen is dead."
I was asked to immediately shut it down. The whole trip I was in
questions and shock. Is it true or is it a rumor?
When I finaly arrived in London, the message was then true.
My art project was based on him. I loved him and his creativity.
But fashion must go on!
